Maternal Health

The Maternity Clinic provides prenatal care to pregnant women in Cleveland and surrounding counties. The clinic is staffed by a physician, public health nurses, social workers, health educators, and nutritionists. The staff of the maternity clinic is committed to providing each client with quality, caring and individualized care to meet their specific needs.  Services include:

  *Provides comprehensive care for the routine prenatal patient
  *Offer evaluation and referrals for high risk tertiary clinics
• Screening tests for genetic disorders
• Counseling
  *Assessment of particular social and emotional needs
  *Referrals, if necessary, to outside helping agencies
• Health education
  *Lamaze
  *Smoking Cessation Classes
  *Epidural Class
  *Postpartum Birth Control Methods
• Nutrition
• Breastfeeding education and support services
  *Referral to an in house lactation consultant
  *Breastfeeding Classes
• Car Seat Program
  *Can assist clients in obtaining a car seat at a minimal cost
• Referral to pregnancy care management
