NCCooperativeExtension-horizontal-color-no-shadowNC COOPERATIVE EXTENSIONEach day, NC Cooperative Extension provides people with access to the research-based information resources of our land grant University system and helps them use that knowledge to solve everyday problems. We make North Carolina better through programs and partnerships focused on enhancing agriculture, strengthening and sustaining families, developing responsible youth, and building quality communities.

If you have a question or a problem, chances are we can help! The Cleveland County Extension Center staff focus their work on issues and needs that are important right here in the local community. We provide hands-on learning opportunities and technical assistance focused on:

  • Protecting and preserving family farms
  • Growing the agricultural economy
  • Enhancing community access to fresh local food
  • Beautifying lawns and landscapes
  • Growing and preserving food at home
  • Improving diet, health and wellness
  • Fostering resilient families and communities
  • Helping kids grow into responsible, confident, caring & contributing adults
