Programs & Services

The Cleveland Soil and Water Conservation District works with local farmers and students alike to improve soil health and water quality, and ultimately, our local environment as a whole. To achieve this goal, we provide advice, technical assistance, and financial assistance through cost-share programs. The District also focuses on conservation-based educational outreach. We conduct various hands-on outreach programs through local schools, events, and civic groups.Signature Programs & Services:


Equipment Rental Program:

GreatPlains-606NT-2019 6 ft Great Plains No-Till Drill

  • 6 ft. Drill width, 8.5 ft tire to tire
  • Need to have at least 40 HP Tractor with rear hydraulic hookups
  • Contains 3 seed boxes: Small seed box (Clovers), Large Seed Box (Grass/Fescue), and Native Seed Box
  • In general, it takes approximately 30-40 minutes per acre (depending on terrain)
  • The drill has wheels so they can be pulled and have a 1" pin hitch setup.
    • These weigh close to a ton, so you must drive slowly.
  • Rental rate is $10/acre with a minimum of 5 acres or $50. Rental is scheduled for a maximum of 7 days. Only cash or checks will be accepted.
